I’m finally joining these squares together, here’s the Jan and Feb squares together. I’m using the Dudesssembly for it. It’s pretty neat, I can’t wait to have one row done so I can join the corners. Anyway, onto the pictures.
I was goofin off on Ravelry today and made a group for all Charleston(ish) people… All tricounty area people! There’s a group on there for the folks that meet at Knit but I don’t ever get down there, the drives too far for me, but I’d still like to know who’s in my area. Here’s a link to the group of you’re on Ravelry. I’m sorting out my squares for my ‘08 blanket tonight, I’m going to number them and then start putting them together tomorrow, I hope. I’m going to use the Crochet Dudes essembly method. It’s a PDF file and it looks way cool, I can’t wait to try it out. Then I want to get started on my ‘09 blanket squares! I’m so excited!
I got a serger for xmas!! I haven’t “made” anything with her yet, but I’ve been playing around. Got a couple serger books on order, hopefully those will make life a little easier. I spent the first couple days very frustrated because my bottom thread kept breaking. Oh well, live and learn! I love her!
Bless this mess! Please excuse all the crap on my sewing table, lol. I wouldn’t know what to do if it were ever actually clean. :p
I’m working a new job, a doctors office, which is far more relaxed then Wal-Mart. I might still be working wal-mart from time to time, but I have no idea. They have me on the schedule one week and not the next, so who knows. But hopefully I’ll get far more crafting done now, since I’ll be working fewer days for more pay! YAY! I’ll probably post some progress pics tonight, I finished all the squares for my 2008 blanket but I still haven’t put them together. I already have plans to do the 2009 blanket that is on Craftster and Ravelry, I’m so excited! I can’t decide if I want to do them in the colors I want my room (blue and brown) or in my favorite colors (purple and white). Here’s some pics of my Nov and Dec square… There’s more pics on my photobucket site.
November

December

I’m playing around with Googles browser - Chrome. So far it looks like a cross between Firefox (my preferred browser) and IE (hate it). But, I’ve imported all my bookmarks/passwords, including the ones from my mobile phone, very nice. I love that the home page shows your most visited sites, there’s only a hand full I go to constantly, so that’ll be awesome. I’m going to see what the downloads are like and all. I hope it’s nice, I heart google!
Sly built Ra a new cage and it’s wonderful! I love it, it’s easy to get into, low enough for me to actually get into it. And it’s in a place that we can see and take care of her everyday with ease. Here’s some pics!
In the making

All done!

Isn’t she beautiful? The snake and the cage. I’m sure once again, she’ll grow to the size of her cage, so she’s going to get even fatter. :p We’re still going to move it around a bit, get her a new heat source, move her water bowl where the coldest part of the cage is. I’ll upload more pics when we get the inside all done.
Sooo, Sly and I are now engaged! Yay!!! And we’ve decided to trying to have a baby. We’re not stressing it with temp test and all that blahblah, but we’re trying. I’ve been off my birth control for almost a month now, so hopefully I’ll be posting in-progress preggo pics soon. And of course, I have a picture of my engagement ring. I do want to be married before I actually have any kids tho, so we’re thinking a wedding next fall-ish.

I love this pattern, it was quick to work and easy to read. The only mod I would make is to lengthen the hand part so that the cables would reach my knuckles. They’re a bit short.

October Square (Almost done!!)

Live to Laugh & Laugh to Live

Drop Chain Earring

Donalds xmas beanie

Black and White Hobo Style Bag

I really, really should post more often but I always seem to post my stuff on Craftster.org instead of posting it on here. Maybe I’ll just start posting it on here and then posting links on Craftster or something. Anyway, here we go.
Testing a bear pattern. Here’s the post about it.

Brittany’s finished baby blanket. She’s had her girl and she’s adorable!

September Square

The MC. It’s got a wonky seam (my fault). The pattern is from Get Your Crochet On!

Wonky seam! I don’t know how I did this but it didn’t happen with the second one I did. Who knows, I still love the hat, I wear it quite often.
